A smarter way to build products!

You’re one click away from learning how to make a fully-functional prototype in just 10 days, and joining thousands of startups who have used design and research sprints to propel themselves into the future.

Use Discovery as your roadmap to success!

Discovery is the fastest and most valuable method you can use to see if a product is worth developing - or if its better on paper than in reality. It is great for revealing nitty-gritty details too, like if that feature you’ve got your heart set on is really necessary after all!

Discover what your users really want.

Empathy is your new best friend. By climbing into your audience’s shoes, you’ll gain a first-person view of what they want, when, where, and why.

Once you know your market’s desires, you can design a thoughtful validation plan for your product idea to clarify the process and required investment time. It’s the best way to foster real results and expedite your product’s journey to market!

Validate your idea.

It’s simple, really - but that’s not to say you’ll get it right the first time around. Few people do! By putting your prototype directly into the hands of your end users, you can test, test, and test some more - until you hit the jackpot.

Build a great product.

The only way to accurately predict a product’s success is to get answers straight from the horse’s mouth. With Discovery guide you’ll learn to garner feedback from your exact target market, using these comments to make meaningful changes to your design and development strategy.

Get feedback.

What you're about to learn:

We know you have a lot of questions. Thankfully, we have answers.

Stay tuned, because you’re about to get answers to all these questions and much more!

Excited to start discovering?

No need to wait, you can do it this instant! If you are determined to find out everything you need to know to make a product that will fit your users like a glove - we got the tools right here!

Introducing My Swft

My Swft is a “free travel concierge,” a popular travel app that helps users plan group trips from the palm of their hands. We used our proven Discovery Sprint process to give the app a holistic overhaul in record time, working in close collaboration with the founder every step of the way.

The results we get for our clients

What we did:

Research Sprint

Design Sprint

Discovery gave us clarity on the key issues that we need to solve with the app before we started with development. It saved us money on development by giving us a much clearer view of our users and their needs. We will use a lot of the research as business and product validation in our pitch deck for our next funding round.

Techniques you'll learn in Discovery guide

Discovery Sprint comprises both Research and Design sprints, with varying techniques depending on the project, target market, and problem at hand.

Discovery - What

Does it Look Like?

Discovery takes you on a deep learning journey about your product, ideas, and goals.      Research sprint helps you define your business objectives, and identify any problems that need solving. Furthermore, you will learn how to discover your perfect audience using a data-driven approach, and create relevant personas of the people who’ll be using your product in the real world.

Come Design sprint, it’ll be time to be creative and come up with a product prototype, based on all the research you’ve done throughout the Research. The prototype, then, has to be put to the  test with real users.

Setup the right foundation for your digital product

Whether you’ve got an inkling of a concept or a full-blown game plan, Discovery guide will help you fast track the rest of the journey.

Competitor Analysis

What are your competitors doing right and wrong, and how can you do better? After a thorough evaluation, we can identify what makes your products unique, squeezing your USPs for all they’re worth to attract the right audience, the right way.

Stakeholder Interviews

These personal 1-to-1 chats, covering specific topics, help us to gain project-relevant insights while fostering relevant reactions, comments, and suggestions.

Mind Mapping

This powerful problem-solving technique is great for processing concepts, thought patterns, notes, and more - independently. It’s also a popular warm-up to other exercises like Crazy Eights, which we’ll talk about next.

Crazy Eights

This can be game-changing during an idea’s infancy, when you need to come up with a lot of concepts very quickly. Don’t let time-limits compromise creativity - anything goes here. Crazy Eights loosens the creative muscles and helps you kickstart the concept wagon.

Storyboarding

If you’ve spent a lot of mind-power on a problem and already have some solutions in mind, physically drawing them out delivers a visual representation of early ideas while allowing for deeper exploration of interaction details.

Silent Critique

Best used after individual thought processes like storyboarding, Silent Critique allows individuals to reflect on ideas in an unbiased way, sharing opinions with the group. This saves time on 100s of ideas, focusing instead on a select few with different approaches.

Group Critique

Once its silent counterpart is complete, Group Critique allows for an in-depth discussion of ideas. Everyone’s voice is heard as you discuss a concept’s strengths and weaknesses, while adding more in-depth detail along the way.

The Identity Conflict

Throughout the Diverge process, you likely encountered plenty of conflicting concepts. In this case, all or more might solve the same problem, which can be helpful when highlighting the problem-solving options available for your product.

The Assumption Board

We are yet to find a better way to keep track of team assumptions surrounding a product. The Assumption Board is relevant for every phase of product development, and you should work with your team to identify the best methods of testing assumptions during the Converge phase.

The Back-Burner Board

With every week comes plenty of new ideas. Some will be critical for task completion, others will drift away - no matter how interesting they may be. The “Back-Burner Board” helps you capture great weekly ideas, for usage now or in the future. Put them on the back burner, on a sticky note board during Converge. You never know when you’ll need them

Last but not least, this cherry-on-top Converge technique will empower your team to focus on what they’ll be prototyping. This is typically done on a whiteboard for everyone to see with confidence and clarity.

The Final Storyboard

InVision Prototype

This particular form of prototype empowers team to upload a wireframe idea from the Converge phase, using the software’s functional functionalities to automatically transform it into an app prototype. The wireframe doesn’t have to be final, as long as it covers the basics. With InVision, users can effectively follow necessary transitions, test buttons, and analyze mock-up layouts for device interfaces.

Usability Testing

It’s important that your app be easy for users to use. The alternative is to scare them off through complexity. User testing can help you avoid this, presenting an effective way to determine something’s ease-of-use with real end users. You should ask your users to complete certain tasks, typically observed by a researcher, to analyze where problems and confusion enter the picture. Once you know what’s wrong, you’ll know what to fix.

Stakeholder Interviews

User Interviews

This powerful research tactic unlocks powerful qualitative insights from current or future users on various topics that matter most. We’ll carefully analyze things like users’ feelings, motivations, daily routines, product usage, and beyond to arm you with meaningful knowledge.

Usability Testing

Put yourself in your user’s shoes and ask yourself honestly - is your product easy-to-use? Is it user-friendly? Through usability testing, we ask users to complete certain tasks using your products, with surveillance from a researcher, to solve problems or confusion.

User Personas

After asking a series of questions, we can analyze your target audience’s desires, goals, and behaviors in a bid to understand them better.

User Journeys

Here, we try to predict at least 4-12 steps users would most likely take when interacting with your product.
